It’s Overwhelming

“I want to sit at Your feet, drink from the cup in Your hand. Lay back against You and breath feel Your heartbeat. This love is so deep, it’s more than I can stand. I melt in Your peace, it’s overwhelming.” – The More I Seek You, Kari Jobe

I had the privilege this past Sunday to attend  a Worship Concert featuring Kari Jobe. I was going mainly because I love her music, but also to watch and learn how others lead worship. Some of you may know,  I am a “watcher”. I  love to see how things are done, accomplished, etc… So I was prepared to take notes. I did  just that for about the first 45 minutes or so, and then something unexpected happened. I felt this overwhelming sense of love. Not my love for something or someone, more like love for me. I could not move. I could not sing. I  could not sit. All I could do is just feel. I melted in His presence, and I learned a valuable lesson. God must be first! The Bible says draw unto me and I will draw unto you, and then all the other stuff will be added. This week put God first, before anything else. Before the planning, the studying, the organizing and see what will happen.

Thank you for sharing, it is amazing that God works in many places and through many people and events in our lives. Sometimes we may feel that the decisions we make are they for us or for others. I know that if we always put the wants of our God ahead of ourselves and others we will find the peace that we all yearn for and search for in this world today.

Worship can be a very private of public event. I find that when I go within myself and ask God, to do his will within me and show me His glory and give me the widsom so that I may be a blessing to others, I have a better day. So from your experiences at the Kari Jobe concert, you have paid it forward to others who were not able to attend.

Thank you Cher for posting this video. I wish I could have been there with you all, but this is the next best thing. I love this song, the youth are learning it for our services. I pray the words of this song blesses them, and draws them into God’s presence like never before.

Kari Jobe is one of my favorite singers too. I love her version of ‘Hosana’. It reminds me of our own Christi Forrester. You hit the nail on the head with putting God first. That’s what my family and I have been doing and we’ve found favor because of it. Thankyou for being the real person you are and sharing this experience with us.
